How to restore / update firmware of your “iDevice”?
After downloading the desired firmware below, you can shift-click (PC) or option-click (Mac) the Restore or Update buttons in iTunes. A file dialog will open and let you choose the downloaded ipsw-file. (Your browser may change the ipsw-file into a zip-file. In that case, just rename it to end in .ipsw and iTunes will accept it.)

Big news for iDevice jailbreakers, Cydia posted its first update itself in repository , from version 1.0.3366-1 to 1.1.1 . Cydia is the alternative to App Store, providing useful packages to enhance the functions of iDevices.

Here is the quick summary of change log:

• Ability to run and operate Activator, libstatusbar, and SimulatedKeyEvents while Cydia is running
• Overall speed improvements, including and especially the “Loading Changes” dialog
• “much less” memory usage
• A more advanced search mechanism with a new relevancy algorithm
• Better management of broken repositories
